People who had watched TV animations in 80s' maybe remember the Bionic Six. Or the mania of Japanese animations sometimes talk about the famous animation director OSAMU DEZAKI who participated in this production.

As an American type, it's the story of super heroes and a family, as a Japanese type, it has great actions and various characters, and also there are villains whom we cannot hate and many interesting episodes. Then, this animation which American and Japanese famous staff participated in, has been remembered and loved by the fans all over the world as ever.

국내에서는 「출동! 바이오 용사」라는 제목으로 소개된 이 작품은 화려한 액션과 다양한 캐릭터, 흥미로운 스토리 등으로 방영 당시 많은 인기를 모았다. 80년대 미국 만화를 보며 자란 이들에게는 추억 속의 작품으로 남아 있으면서, 일본의 유명 감독 데자키 오사무가 제작에 참여했다는 이유로 일본 애니메이션 마니아들 사이에서 때때로 입에 오르내리곤 한다.

수퍼 영웅에 가족을 가미한 이야기는 이제 새삼스러운 것도 아니지만 당시로서는 비교적 신선한 설정이었다. 여기에 갓차맨(독수리 5형제)을 연상시키는 일본식 액션, 미워할 수 없는 악당들과 개성 강한 캐릭터가 재미를 더한다. 미국과 일본의 유명 스탭들이 참여하여 제작한 바이오닉 식스는 아직도 많은 이들에게 기억되며 사랑 받고 있다.
